The Centre’s director Brig J C Sitienei officially commenced the Humanitarian Improvised Explosive Device (IED) response Workshop, sponsored by the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) The workshop targets humanitarian agencies within the Mine action sector where IED is also a threat.

The participants are from 12 different agencies within the region focusing on Mine action agencies. The Workshop would deliberate and discuss the role of humanitarian agencies towards IED threat while focusing on the regional threat.
